Showers and thunderstorms today will produce very heavy rain across the entire region. Overall widespread 2 to 4 inches of rain are expected. Some locations could see multiple storms and this would lead to a few locations possibly seeing rainfall totals exceeding 6 inches.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect late tonight through late Saturday evening across south Mississippi and southeast Louisiana.
